Back-yardbirding.com strives to provide the best of class tools to enhance joy and education for those of us who love birds.  Here you will find products and information to help identify, understand, and encourage visits from the birds you see. 

But more than this, back-yardbirding.com wants to initiate a community where those of us who truly enjoy our birds can share that enjoyment with each other.  So, visitors are encouraged to visit "Our Space" and sign up to participate in sharing your experiences with other visitors.  You may send photographs, anecdotes, stories about your interactions with birds.  I have included some of my own to get you started.  Periodically I may include an article that you may find informative.

Mama and the Red Bellied Woodpecker (in flight) -- I don't know why they call it red bellied.  Only its head is red, its belly is white, although some pictures show a red patch at the base of its belly!
